For Parents

Getting Started

  1. Ask your admin to create your parent account (or do it yourself if you're the admin)
  2. Log in at the main page
  3. Create routines (like "Morning Missions")
  4. Add chores to each routine
  5. Set up the reward shop with things your kid can spend tokens on
  6. Optionally set up reward categories for behavioral rewards

Managing Routines

Routines are groups of chores that appear at specific times on specific days. Scroll down to "Manage Routines" on your dashboard.

  • Name & emoji: What the kid sees (e.g., "Morning Missions")
  • Time window: Start and end hour (24h format). The routine only appears during this window.
  • Days: Toggle which days of the week the routine appears. Useful for things like "Shower Night" on Mon/Wed/Fri.

If a routine has tasks in progress when the time window ends, it stays visible until everything is done.

Managing Chores

Each chore belongs to a routine (or "No routine" for general tasks). When adding a chore, select which routine it goes in from the dropdown.

  • Tokens: How many tokens the kid earns (1-60)
  • Logged by: "Kid logs" means the kid taps it done. "Parent logs" means you log it for them.
  • You can edit, deactivate, or reactivate chores anytime.

Approving Chores

When your kid taps a task done, it appears in your "Pending Approvals" section. Tap "Approve" to confirm, or "Reject" if they didn't actually do it (they can resubmit).

The app checks for new approvals every 15 seconds while you have it open.

The Reward Shop

Set up rewards your kid can spend tokens on in the "Shop Rewards" section. Each reward has:

  • Name & emoji: What the kid sees ("30 min iPad time")
  • Token cost: How many tokens it costs
  • Category: Entertainment, Purchase, Privilege, or Chore Skip

When your kid requests a reward, it appears in "Pending Requests." Approve or deny it. Tokens are deducted on approval.

Deactivating a reward automatically denies any pending requests for it.

Logging Events

Use the event buttons to log things the kid can't self-report:

  • Woke on time: +30 tokens
  • Woke late: -15 tokens
  • Made the bus: No bonus, no penalty
  • Missed the bus: -30 tokens

Behavioral Rewards

Set up reward categories in the "Reward Categories" section (e.g., "Positive attitude" +10 tokens, "Followed directions" +5 tokens).

Award them per kid from their section on your dashboard. Each reward can be given once per day per category.

These reward effort and attitude, not just task completion.

Manual Adjustment

Use the "Manual Adjustment" button to deduct tokens when needed. This is your escape hatch for situations the shop doesn't cover.

The Ledger

The "Recent Ledger" at the bottom shows every transaction: chores approved, events logged, rewards given, shop purchases, and adjustments. This is the audit trail.
